Maria Palo arrived from Salerno, on the southern Tyrrhenian coast — the city that gave risotto al nero di seppia to the world. Louie Palo came from Amalfi, where the sea air tastes like lemon and the pasta is bronze die-cut from a machine older than most governments.
They arrived in Florida in 1984 and began building a restaurant dynasty rooted in the techniques and flavors of Southern Italy. Not the Americanized version — the real thing.
Stasio's Italian Deli & Market opened in July 2018 in Orlando's Milk District — the culmination of decades of building toward a place where every ingredient, every preparation, and every bite reflects who the Palos are and where they came from.
